Aberdovey/Aberdyfi railway station is on the Cambrian Coast line from Machynlleth to Pwllheli and is located just to the west of the village off the A493 which runs through Aberdyfi. The postcode for the station is LL35 0NR. The station is unstaffed; buy tickets on the train. Live Departure and Arrival screens. Car park no charge for passengers (25 spaces).
Approaching from the east on the A493, the station will be on your left just after you leave the village. Arriving on the train, turn right when you reach the main road for the village centre. See below for Penhelig which is a halt at the east end of Aberdyfi.

Departures for Machynlleth/arrivals from Pwllheli Monday to Saturday are at 07.23, 08.22, 09.33 and then approximately every two hours until 19.35; last train at 21.56. All except the 08.22 and the 21.56 trains join or connect with trains to Birmingham. Sunday train at 15.35 which runs to Birmingham.
Departures for Pwllheli/arrivals from Machynlleth Monday to Saturday are at 05.27, 07.06, 09.16 and then approximately every two hours until 19.19; last train at 21.39. All except the first two trains run from or connect with trains from Birmingham. Sunday train at 19.14 which runs from Birmingham.
Penhelig is a request stop just before Aberdyfi station when travelling from Machynlleth - tell the guard/indicate to the driver that you want the train to stop. Approaching Aberdyfi on the A493 from Machynlleth, it will be on your left just as you enter the village with the Penhelig Arms Hotel opposite; the postcode is LL35 0LU. Live Departure and Arrival screens. There is a council car park opposite; the platform is reached by two flights of steps (27 in total). Trains times are 2 - 4 minutes before or after those for Aberdyfi.
