Aberystwyth railway station is the terminus of the Cambrian line from Shrewsbury; most trains run from/to Birmingham International. Follow the signs for the town centre; the postcode is SY23 1LH. The station has a ticket office open Monday to Saturday 07.10 – 17.40; there is also a ticket machine. Live Departure and Arrival screens. Car parking for passengers (15 spaces, 2 accessible) @ £2. There is also access to the Vale of Rheidol Railway platform. Refurbishment of the station started in May 2014; the former main station buildings are now a Wetherspoons pub and an Indian restaurant, the Shilam.
Arriving by train at Aberystwyth, exit left for taxis and straight ahead for buses. Also straight ahead for the Tourist Information Centre and the promenade – over the pedestrian crossing, right and immediately left into Terrace Road; the TIC will be on your right just before you reach the sea!

Trains for Shrewsbury, Birmingham New Street and Birmingham International depart Monday to Saturday at 05.14 and 07.30 – then every 2 hours until 19.30; on Sundays, departures are at 09.30 and then every 2 hours until 19.30.
The first arrival from Birmingham and Shrewsbury is at 09.25, then every 2 hours until 21.25; the last train arrives at 23.44. The 0925 is from Birmingham New Street; all other trains are from Birmingham International. On Sundays, the first train to arrive from Shrewsbury is the 13.25; then every 2 hours until 23.26 (all from Birmingham International).

From the north, follow the A487 into the town centre and the station will be on your left. From the east on the A44, left at the first roundabout in the town, immediately right at the next, continue until you reach the junction with the A487, left into the town centre and the station will be on your left. From the south, at the first roundabout turn right onto the A4120, second left at the next roundabout, straight ahead at the next and right at another roundabout; the station will be on your right.
