You can find similar trails to the Wet Meadow Forest Fitness Trail in forests throughout Europe. In Europe young and old alike use them as part of a personal fitness programme. In Germany, events take place most weekends throughout the year.
Wet Meadow Fitness Trail (1.5 miles, 2.6 kilometres).
Along the trail, you will encounter a range of obstacles for doing sit-ups, press-ups, chin-ups and other exercises. At each obstacle a sign shows what to do. Enjoy the course either as part of a gentle walk or as part of a timed, speed event. Whichever way you do the trail, it’s a good way of getting or keeping fit and healthy.
Directions:
From Monmouth take the B4293 to Chepstow. After bends at Lydart and ignoring signs for Whitebrook and The Narth, carry on for 3/4's of a mile and look for right-turn signposted 'Wet Meadow Trim Trail'. Parking spaces are 100 metres up track on right, opposite Trail start.
From Chepstow, follow the B4293 to Monmouth, pass through the village of Trellech. After a mile look for leftturn signposted 'Wet Meadow Trim Trail. Parking as above.
