The route beyond Aberystwyth joins cycle route 81 along the old Carmarthen-Aberystwyth railway line. This is largely traffic free, before heading into Tregaron. Beyond Tregaron and Lampeter the route follows the B4343 and B4337 roads which are both fairly quiet roads.
Heading through Ceredigion Westwards towards Fishguard along the Teifi Valley. Beyond Cardigan and the Teifi Valley the routh comes close to the coastline before heading into the town of Fishguard.
