Mercure Newport

About

The historic Chartist Tower is home to Mercure Newport; the tallest building in the city and built in 1966, it has been expertly renovated to create an exciting new vibrant hotel with an industrial urban look and feel.

The hotel has 135 flexible bedrooms to suit all travellers, all with striking views across the city. The interior takes inspiration from the Newport Transporter bridge, which was built in 1906, which is now only one of ten transporter bridges still in operation to this day and only a few dozen were ever built.

At the heart of the hotel you’ll find a contemporary restaurant ‘Bar and Kitchen @ NP20’ which is open to both residents and non-residents. The restaurant is home to a fabulous outdoor terrace area – ideal for cocktails with friends, pre-dinner drinks and casual dining.

Meeting Rooms
The hotel has three purpose-built meeting rooms with flexible capacities on a dedicated meeting floor, paired with a spacious breakout area and coffee station.
