We host a diverse range of groups at the Lodge: from social clubs, friends and families, bird-watchers, walking groups and ramblers.

What makes Elan Valley Lodge unique is the freedom that we give you to create your own activity programme.

Climbing & Abseiling

As the only activity provider on the Elan Estate, the Lodge has exclusive access to a crag for rock climbing and abseiling.

Canoeing

Elan Valley Lodge have exclusive access to the Caban Coch reservoir for water-sports, including; Canoeing and Kayaking. See the website for dates for our Open Activity Weekends which extend the opportunity to individuals.

Archery

Our guests particularly enjoy Archery on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

Permanent Orienteering course

Elan Valley Lodge have a permanent Orienteering course in a beautiful are of woodland on the Elan Estate.


Tree Top Challenge

The Elan Valley; home to 73 sq miles of spectacular scenery is the perfect location for the Tree Top Challenge. Located alongside Caban Coch reservoir it is the perfect adrenalin-fuelled activity for children and adults alike.

By road; From Rhayader take the B4518 to Elan Valley. After 3 miles turn left for Elan Village. Cross river bridge and we are clarly sign posted on left

By public transport; Rail to Llandrindod Wells or Caersws then pre booked taxi.
