About

Lido Ponty Visitor Centre is Wales’ premier outdoor pool attraction and adventure play park which has been restored to its former glory and updated for the 21st Century visitor. It is a Grade II listed lido that takes you back to the days of the original Lido, where Jenny Jones, the first woman to swim the English Channel, trained and Sir Tom Jones strutted his stuff in the sunshine.

Lido Ponty has three heated swimming pools, offering great opportunities for families, dedicated swimmers and social swimmers of all ages and abilities. Facilities include external and internal showers, heated changing facilities and a state-of-the-art Visitors’ Centre which tells the amazing story of The National Lido of Wales.

Restored features include the 1920s turnstiles and wooden cubicles, which complement the Waterside Café. The Visitor Centre has heritage boards, interactive games and puzzles, large video screens, and much more.

CAFFI LIDO
Caffi Lido provides a range of hot snacks, gourmet hand-made cakes, frappuccinos and premium locally-roasted coffee. Grab a hot breakfast roll & a flat white on your way to work, or collect a boxed salad or wood-fired pizza for your lunch and enjoy it in the beautiful surroundings of Ynysangharad War Memorial Park.

ADVENTURE PLAY AREA
Lido Play, the adventure play area, captures the imagination of our younger visitors as they explore the swings, slides and tunnels in this locally-themed park celebrating our proud industrial past.
