Monty Lit Fest 2024 will take place over the weekend of 7th - 9th June, once again bringing top literary talent to Montgomery. with a programme designed to have something for everyone – from crime fiction to rock music; palaeontology to poetry; farming and nature to our annual big quiz night. And, once again, there'll be a real buzz in the town with a poetry-themed art exhibition, buskers and musical groups, street food vans and refreshments in the Town Hall itself. Festival goers will also be able to browse two Festival bookshops, with Oswestry's Booka Books in the Town Hall and The Montgomery Bookshop just down the road. Authors will be happy to meet their readers and sign copies of their books.

The Festival’s main venue will be Montgomery Town Hall, with other local venues in the town playing a supporting role, including two bookshops.

About Monty Lit Fest
Monty Lit Fest is organised by the Montgomeryshire Literary Festival Trust.

One of its key aims is to showcase writers who live in, write about and are passionate about Wales and the Welsh Borders and the diverse range of subjects and topics that matter locally. 

It is committed to programmes that celebrate a diverse range of writing and appeal to a wide range of audiences. Their Summer weekend Festivals take place in the historic town of Montgomery. 

The Festival’s trustees are all volunteers, supported by a wider committee who help to organise and run the events each year
