Wonderwool Wales 2024 is gearing up to be an international extravaganza, drawing enthusiasts from all corners of the globe to the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells on April 27 and 28. With overseas visitors journeying from as far as Australia, America, and Canada, this year's event promises to be a truly global celebration of Welsh wool and natural fibers.

Excitement is palpable as all 220 exhibitor stands have been sold out, much to the delight of the organizers. Attendees can expect a vibrant showcase of everything from raw materials to finished textile art, with exhibits spanning the entire creative process.

One of the highlights will undoubtedly be the Flock2Flight display, featuring stunning wet felted and needle felted birds crafted by acclaimed fiber artist Janna Turner and her talented collaborators, Alex Johnstone and Deborah Taylor Dyer. This captivating exhibit promises to enchant visitors with its intricate craftsmanship and imaginative flair.

Woolschool Workshops & Sheep Fashion Walk
Wonderwool Wales will offer a myriad of engaging activities, including the highly anticipated Woolschool workshops, covering a diverse range of topics from drop spindle spinning to botanical dyeing. Additionally, the Sheep Walk fashion show will dazzle audiences with its innovative designs and woolen creations.

Adding to the festivities, attendees are encouraged to showcase their creativity by knitting, crocheting, or crafting their own beanie or hat, with vouchers awarded to the best creations. And for those seeking culinary delights, new street food vendors will tantalize taste buds with their delectable offerings.

As director Chrissie Menzies aptly puts it, Wonderwool Wales 2024 is poised to be an unforgettable event, uniting wool enthusiasts from around the world in a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and community spirit.
