Usk Open Gardens 2013 at UskUsk Open Gardens 2013 at Usk

It’s a date for your diary - and one not to miss. The Usk Open Gardens Weekend on the 29th and 30th of June, 2013. It’s the weekend when many of the private - and lovely - gardens in and around the town are opened up to anyone who’s interested.

This is the nineteenth year this has happened reflecting the phenomenal success of the event which is held to raise money for local charities. From humble beginnings the weekend now attracts more than 2,500 visitors - much more than the town’s population.
Over the years the weekend has raised a staggering £170,000 for good causes.

The open gardens range from small, but carefully prepared cottage gardens to the grandeur of Usk Castle’s gardens. Visitors will be able to see a variety of designs and planting and share the enthusiasm of the gardeners. All the gardens are within walking distance of the car parks, but there is a regular free minibus service to take visitors to ones on the edge of town.
There will also be a Gardeners Market with sales of plants and garden products to take home.
