The main bedroom and kitchen have a balcony/veranda situated at the rear of the building, overlooking River Twrch where a variety of wildlife can be seen, such as kingfishers, herons, nuthatches (and occasional otter) The ground floor is all one level offering, Satelite TV, Blu-Ray, Wet Room, 2 Double Bedrooms, large kitchen/diner, lounge - lots of room enabling large groups lots of space.

Capel Cartref (formerly Capel Newydd) has been completed to a high standard 5 Bedroom house, graded 4 star by Visit Wales.

Much of the original chapel has been retained and recycled within the building and/or grounds of Capel Cartref. On the ground floor, are 2 double bedrooms, 1 large kitchen/diner, 1 wet-room, 1 lounge (with vaulted ceiling), and 1 store room. The garden is enclosed - the gates were once original windows of Capel Newydd. The 1st floor is accessed via a staircase which leads to a gallery landing - a place to sit in peace. The 1st floor also includes 1 double bedroom, 1 twin room, 1 main bathroom, 1 main bedroom with king size bed and en-suite shower room, one private balcony (leading off main bedroom) which overlooks River Twrch.

The Post Office is situated immediately next to Capel Cartref. It sells rod licences and provides mobile phone top-ups, plus it is a shop and off licence.

Within the surrounding area are beautiful scenic walks that can be accessed without a car.

Capel Cartref is close to Mole Inn - a pub and restaurant that can supply 'meals on wheels' service at extra cost to holidaymakers of Capel Cartref. Next to the chapel is a PO which sells rod licences, it also has a shop and off licence. A large Co-op supermarket is approx one mile away. Tesco superstore is within 10minutes drive. Leisure faciilities are within 20 minutes driveable distance and include Dan Yr Ogof Caves, (National Showcave Centre), Afan Forest Mountain Bike Centre, Swansea's LC2 Complex (12miles), Brecon Beacon Mountain Centre, Vale of Neath Waterfall, Hendrig Falls. Children welcome from any age.
