Numerous forest trails. The surface of the Pont Llogel Trail is especially suitable for wheelchairs. Your starting point is from the picnic site at Pont Llogel on the B4395, 3 miles NE of Llangadfan on the A458 West from Welshpool.

 

Go for a walk along the lower part of the valley catching a glimse of the waterfalls through the trees. There are several linking tracks that make for shorter alternatives. Start: Picnic Site

A small car park under Norway spruce trees. Access to the Forest Garden Discovery Trail, where you can experience trees from all over the world, some with fascinating facts on secret signs (access to all ability trail).

 

This small car park is the start of the rugged Volcano Trail and near a bridge taking you across the Afon Mawddach and gorge.

 

With the Snowdonia National Park providing a mighty natural backdrop, it is easy to understand why this area is so loved. There is some great walking to be had where you’ll find small fishing villages, estuaries and miles of sandy beaches.

The Elan Valley Trail is a linear path following the line of the old Birmingham Corporation Railway. The trail starts in Cwmdauddwr, just west of Rhayader and finishes 13 km (8 miles) further up the Elan Valley at Craig Goch Dam.
