Malltraeth offers an alternative access point for Newborough Forest and is particularly popular with horse riders. From here you can pick up the Anglesey Coastal Path. OS Grid Ref: SH411671

 

Rhyd-y-benwch car park marks the start for all the waymarked trails through the woodland to the famous Severn Break its Neck waterfall, Blaenhafren Falls and a boardwalk which takes you along the riverbank to the Cascade Falls.

 

A new route to the source has recently been opened. Follow the white waymarkers. When reaching the forest boundary the final section of the Source of the Severn trail is via a stone path which passes through moorland.(7miles, 4.5hours)

Numerous forest trails. The surface of the Pont Llogel Trail is especially suitable for wheelchairs. Your starting point is from the picnic site at Pont Llogel on the B4395, 3 miles NE of Llangadfan on the A458 West from Welshpool.

 

The Elan Valley Trail is a linear path following the line of the old Birmingham Corporation Railway. The trail starts in Cwmdauddwr, just west of Rhayader and finishes 13 km (8 miles) further up the Elan Valley at Craig Goch Dam.

Take a walk along the Nature trail and see the spectacular 300ft waterfalls with the 3 bridges, built one on top of the other. Alternatively you can take a short 10 minute walk to see the unique three bridges built one on top of another.
