The RSPB Ynys-Hir nature reserve is wildlife haven in the heart of Mid Wales. Located within the UNESCO Dyfi Biosphere, Ynys-hir has miles of trails, 7 view hides and has been awarded Ramsar, Natura 2000 and SSSI status.

The home of the Dyfi Osprey Project is the Cors Dyfi Nature Reserve. Most visitors spend around one and a half to two hours per visit, including some time in the 360 Observatory where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Dyfi Valley.

You are invited for a magical experience in our treehouse hide high in a great oak tree on the old river bank. Beneath is an extensive badger sett which has been colonised over many years.

Visitors to the Dyfi Osprey Project are able to see live, high resolution nest camera footage at the visitor centre on large plasma screens and view the resident wildlife from a specially built 360 observatory.

Surfaced paths wind through the reedbeds leading you to our numerous hides, which give great views of waterbirds including pintail, shoveler, oystercatcher, shelduck, teal, black and bar-tailed godwits, curlew and snipe.
