Caerwylan Hotel

About

The Caerwylan is situated in a fantastic location on the East shore of Criccieth's Esplanade. The hotel is a landmark Victorian building which faces south with stunning views over the main beach, Cardigan Bay and towards the ruins of Criccieth Castle. We probably enjoy some of the best seaside views in North Wales.

Fiona and I bought The Caerwylan at the end of 2007 and since then we have rebuilt the building to a high standard. We now have 24 comfortable, contemporary, en-suite bedrooms. Each bedroom has been individually designed and many of the bedrooms have lovely sea views.

On the ground floor we have created a relaxing sea facing lounge and a contemporary bar with a wide selection of wines, spirits, lagers and beers, including local cask beer.

Completed in 2012 is our elegant garden and castle facing Tonnau Restaurant which is open to residents and non residents for dinner from Easter to early November seven days a week from 6 p m. Our Chefs uses good, local suppliers as much as possible.

Close to the restaurant is a fully equipped disabled toilet.

In the off peak months the Restaurant is not open every evening please check opening times with us on 01766 522547.

The minimum age for children staying in The Caerwylan is 12 years. We have 1 Family Bedroom (Room 21). From the lift to Room 21 there are 11 stairs.

Other facilities at the Hotel include:

- Lift to all floors (from the lift to the bedrooms generally 6 stairs). If mobility is an issue please contact us prior to booking;

- Private garages @ £1.75 per night.

- Free WIFI on all floors;

- All bedrooms have direct dial telephones and hair dryers.

The Caerwylan is the ideal base to explore Criccieth, the beautiful beaches of the Llyn Peninsula, Snowdonia and the many famous steam railways, castles and golf courses of North Wales. For walkers we are right on the Wales Coast Path. For the less energetic, a gentle stroll takes you to all the town amenities.

For further information or to make a reservation please e-mail us at info@caerwylan.com or telephone 01766 522 547 or use the real time on line booking facility - no extra charges!

Michael and Frances look forward to welcoming you to The Caerwylan
