With the help of a local artist, capture this stunning castle on canvas. In 1795, the artist Turner toured Wales and made sketches of Laugharne Castle which he later used for a watercolour painting of the view he made in 1831. His keen observation of nature in all its glory, with reflections and refractions of golden sunrays, was depicted in both his delicate watercolours and oil paintings. Come learn more about Turner and his techniques. Spend a day creating your own masterpiece under the careful guidance of artist Sara Holden. Try your hand at capturing the raw power of nature and sunlight shown within Turner's work. Visitors must bring their own art supplies.
