Details

In 1917 Major Harry Southey was shot down in the Battle of Gaza. In his will he left the people of Merthyr Tydfil an astounding collection of ancient Egyptian artefacts. This exhibition will display this collection in full for the first time and tell the story of the man who brought ancient Egypt to Merthyr Tydfil.

Every Friday from March 24th to June 30th there will be a guided tour of this one off exhibition. Come along at 11:00 to find out how ancient Egypt came to Merthyr Tydfil.
