Old Station Tintern Weddings

About

The Old Station at Tintern was built as a Victorian country railway station in the Heart of the Wye Valley. You can be married aboard one of our GWR carriages, inside our Victorian Signal Box or inside our Victorian Station Waiting Room.

It sits on the original Wye Valley railway line from Chepstow to Monmouth and closed in 1964. Today you will find lovingly restored Victorian buildings, our waiting room and signal box. We also have two restored carriages. We offer the perfect location for your wedding ceremony and reception. Ideal for vintage, unique or railway inspired weddings.

Our railway is set in 10 acres of riverside meadow with the River Wye meandering through the site. Come and enjoy the tranquillity, breath taking views and Wye Valley backdrops. The lower riverside meadow has access for vehicles and is perfect for a marquee, tipi or yurt for your reception.

You can be married aboard one of our GWR carriages, inside our Victorian Signal Box or inside our Victorian Station Waiting Room. Our wedding ceremonies start from £250 and we quote on an individual basis for receptions. Please email aileenatkinson@monmouthshire.gov.uk for more details.

Children's activities available everyday. A full activity programme is available by request.
