Forest Garden Discovery Trail (three quarters of a mile, 1.2 kilometres)
The Forest Garden Discovery Trail starts from a blue badge only Pandy car park by the side of the Afon Babi.
From Pandy car park: Follow the green waymarkers down to the welcome board by the bridge over the Afon Babi. Cross the bridge to discover our tree collection from all around the world. The garden is crisscrossed with a series of formal and informal tracks, some steep and uneven, but there are no steps or stiles. Follow our special fascinating tree-facts posts for a suggested route.
All ability access from the disabled only car park:
We have a disabled only car park back towards the bridge (see welcome board) for using with the all-ability trail. The trail crosses the bridge and follows the river through the lower part of the forest garden to a viewpoint overlooking the waterfall. Here you can hear the story of Pont-Llam-yr-Ewig – Bridge of the Stag’s Leap, using our special wind-up box. The trail is built to all ability standards with an easy gradient and is suitable for wheelchair users.
