The Trotting Mare Holiday Park

Is a friendly adults only Park with a pub, having a lovely country location. Open all year round the unique grounds are situated between the historic village of Overton-on-Dee (near Wrexham) and the Lakelands of Ellesmere (Shropshire) on the A528; This being the last and first gateway into and out of Wales. Guest comforts are provided by fully serviced hard standing pitches with mains water, water waste and 16 amp electricity point therefore offering facilities for all year-round touring. A modern 'AA 5 star' rated toilet and shower block with under-floor heating and hot and cold running water. The site’s two fishing pools are always popular and you’ll find lots to do around Ellesmere and the Wales border.

Statics Holiday Home Rentals

Our Holiday Park also offers two new contemporary Static Holiday Homes for hire. 'Sunline' & 'Evening Star' are both 3 berth caravans but for your own comfort we only accept 2 adults per caravan. We do consider 1 additional adult per caravan upon request. Each having car parking for 1 car alongside each caravan. Patio area with BBQ, Patio Table, Chairs & Parasol. Please ring us for prices and availability.

Road Directions

Situated between the historic village of Overton-on-Dee (near Wrexham) and the Lakelands of Ellesmere in Shropshire. The grounds are uniquely located on the Wales/England border off the A483 between Oswestry and Wrexham. Follow Whitchurch signs to Overton on the A539, travel through the village of Overton, turn right to Ellesmere on the A528, The Trotting Mare is 2 miles on the right hand side.
