The Bodnant Estate is a strikingly beautiful agricultural estate in North Wales. Set in hilly and wooded countryside in the lower reaches of the Conwy Valley, it commands spectacular views across to Snowdonia.

We have ten wonderful cottages and houses on the Bodnant Estate (near Conwy, North Wales), a strikingly beautiful private estate, set in hilly and wooded countryside in the lower reaches of the Conwy Valley. Old stone houses, cottages and barns have been traditionally restored and furnished comfortably and stylishly as holiday lets. Stay in one of them, and enjoy wandering on the many miles of private paths through woods and fields on the estate, with spectacular views across to Snowdonia and the Irish Sea. There are mountains, lakes, oak and beech forests and above all, peace and tranquility.

Visit spectacular Bodnant Garden, owned by the National Trust (open all year round). Only about 1 to 3 miles walking distance from the cottages. It is world famous for its laburnum arch, grand Italianate terraces, streams, waterfalls and views, and its National Collections of plants, including rhododendrons and magnolias. You can purchase unusual shrubs and other plants from the Bodnant Garden Centre. Also, Discover the true taste of Wales at Bodnant Welsh Food Centre, in a spectacular setting on the River Conwy with the Carneddau mountains of Snowdonia beyond.

The estate provides an ideal base for exploring the magnificent scenery and many attractions and activities offered by North Wales. Nearby is the elegant seaside resort (Llandudno); sandy beaches (Colwyn Bay and Penmaenmawr); a medieval walled town (Conwy); theatres (Llandudno and Colwyn Bay); and numerous castles (Conwy, Caernarfon, Beaumaris, Harlech, Dolwydelan, Penrhyn) and houses (Gwydir, Plas Newydd, Plas Mawr). Within striking distance is Snowdonia National Park, with a wealth of outdoor activities (walking, climbing, kayaking, fishing, moutainbiking, Surf Snowdonia, Zip World etc.). Whatever your tastes and interests, you would be assured of an unforgettable holiday.

All of the properties have the following features:
a multi-fuel woodburner, LPG gas central heating, microwave, fridge and freezer or fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, TV, DVD, Freeview, CD, & radio. Travel cot, highchair & stairgate available on request. No smoking. Dogs permitted (provided they are kept strictly under control due to sheep & cattle in adjacent fields). 10% discount for guests shopping at Bodnant Garden Centre. Also fishing permits can be purchased from Bodnant Garden Centre.

Road Directions

The A55 Expressway along the North Wales coast from Manchester and Chester is dual carriageway throughout, and the Bodnant Estate is only about 10 minutes drive off the A55, with Bodnant Garden/Gardd Bodnant well signposted from the junction of the A470 and the A55.

The A5 through Wales from Shrewsbury to Holyhead comes within about 10 miles of the Bodnant Estate.

The A470 (the main trunk road from North to South Wales) runs along the Conwy Valley at the foot of the Bodnant Estate.
