About
Glencoed is a stone built traditional Welsh Cottage dating from the early 18th century with alterations carried out in the early 1950's and the late 1980's. The original building is still as it would have been when originally built with its inglenook fireplaces and exposed oak beamed ceilings. The cottage is located in one acre of its own grounds adjacent to the Llangollen Branch of the Shropshire Union Canal, and approximately ten minutes walk from the world famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct built by Thomas Telford. The Offas Dyke footpath also runs immediately past the cottage and we are within easy walking distance of some of the best remaining examples of the Dyke.
