Details
The Yat is a small family run guest house, with 2 guest bedrooms, both en suite. This ancient historic house nestles in the hills between the towns of Hay-on-Wye, Builth Wells and Llandrindod Wells down a single tract road. Though ancient it has been restored in keeping with its character by the present owners, artist Krystyna Zaremba and Derek Pike. Spring water is on tap and the house benefits from the latest technology, using sustainable energy, to heat both water and the house. There is a library where guests can browse and WiFi is available in guest rooms. A beautiful large garden surrounds the house and there are walks leading from the house over common land and unspoilt countryside. Tea and coffee facilities are available 24/7 in the dining room and we serve a full English breakfast with organic food. We do cater for special diets. Well behaved dogs are welcome and cyclists can store their bikes indoors and there are fields for horses. Specially prepared dinner is available if ordered in advance. A wonderful characterful, beautiful and tranquil spot to get away from the fast pace of city life!
Tea/coffee making facilities in dining room Children welcome from any age.
