Gordon, Marilyn & Family would like to welcome you to the Red Lion Inn & Restaurant, Meliden. The Red is a traditional pub at the heart of the community offering a great range of beers, wines and a fantastic choice of homecooked food and you can even stay the night in our en-suite bedrooms and enjoy our famous full english breakfast. So come along and enjoy a wonderful relaxed lunch, evening or a few nights in the comfort of our warm & comfortable surroundings where you will enjoy a genuine welcome in the ambience of a traditional and unspoilt pub. Excellent parking is available at the front of the pub and to the rear the generous gardens and patio provide a pleasant environment for a summer's drink.

An excellent wine list complements "The Red's" full a la carte & early bird menu which is available at lunchtimes and evenings Monday to Saturday and on Sundays we serve what we consider to be the best roast dinners in the area. So diners can enjoy Quality food and wine at reasonable prices every day of the week at “The Red”.

When Staying at “The Red” you can enjoy our en-suite accommodation with the facilities of a traditional Welsh pub, our tastefully furnished rooms are ideal for business or holidays! All visitors are assured a warm welcome, whether you're taking a much needed break or travelling on business you will be able to relax in the evening in both the bars and our restaurant. The surrounding area provides some beautiful countryside. A walk up Graig Fawr rewards you with panoramic views of the North Wales Coast. Visit the nearby Dyserth waterfall or stroll down a countryside trail to Prestatyn with its long sandy beach and promenade. A little further afield are the famous castles of Conwy, Caernarfon and Beaumaris, the mountains and lakes of the Snowdonia National Park, and the Blue Flag beaches of Anglesey. The Roman City of Chester, famous for its heritage attractions and shopping, is less than an hour's drive away. Many of our visitors will enjoy the fine selection of golf courses in the area. St.Melyd Golf Course is a testing parkland course just five minutes walk from "The Red". Prestatyn Golf Club is under two miles away and has a fine championship links. Rhuddlan's popular parkland golf course is also two miles away. (Tee times can be arranged).
