About
Lying on a peninsula between the Great Orme and Little Orme Heads, Llandudno has two great beaches. The shingly North Shore is the busier of the two with its Victorian Pier, boat trips, donkey rides and much more. The sandy West shore is quieter with miles of sands and panoramic views of the Snowdonia mountain range in the distance.
A Victorian tramway and cable car offer a route to the summit of the Great Orme (which also boasts a superb dry ski slope – one of the best in Britain). There is plenty to do both day and night and you are sure never to have a dull moment at what many would claim to be the most complete of all British holiday resorts.
The Hydro Hotel is ideally placed on the seafront close to the Venue Cymru Theatre and a short walk from Llandudno’s wonderful shops, pier and Happy Valley gardens. The superb “Looking Glass Bar” and many bedrooms have views over the bay or over the town to the Snowdonia Mountains.
