Brynhir Farm

About

Brynhir Farm, situated just outside Llandrindod Wells in the heart of mid Wales, offers award winning full board farmhouse accommodation. In an ancient, character filled, luxury farmhouse, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere greets you from Ceinwen, Geoffrey and Howard Nixon. Completely secluded in its own mountain valley, the farm offers unique feeling of peace and quiet for guests and walkers at all times.

Boasting exceptional standards, the farm has been run by the Nixon family for over sixty years and extends to approximately 300 acres. The hill farm has some of the best view-points in Radnorshire (now part of Powys), especially from the hill overlooking the house which rises to 1,200 feet. To the South peaceful walks by the small stream can be enjoyed; Pied Flycatchers, Redstarts, Buzzards, Barn Owls and Herons can be seen close by.

The atmosphere is friendly at Brynhir and personal attention to our guests is assured at all times, home produced food and traditional cooking being our speciality. The lounge is available at all times as is the sitting room with its original stone walls and wood burning stove, which is lit on cold evenings. The comfort and pleasure of our guests is paramount and the reason why so many return to Brynhir year after year. Here you are assured of a warm Welsh welcome.

The original farmhouse dates from the 17th century, but tasteful modernisation has ensured that over the years, it has enjoyed the benefits of up-to-date comforts and amenities whilst retaining the character and charm of the traditional Welsh farmhouse. The spacious dining room allows us to allocate separate tables where a full English breakfast is served 8.30am and a three course evening meal served at 7.00pm when Welsh Lamb is enjoyed by everyone.
