Castle Cottage Inn

About

A very comfortable family run Restaurant with Rooms. Dating from the 16th century it is two of the oldest buildings in Harlech. We are close to the ancient castle.

In the main building we have three twin/super king en-suite rooms which are of the same high standard and facilities of our annex rooms. In our annex (Llew Coch - a former coaching Inn in the C17 ) we have four luxury twin/super king en-suite bedrooms. Many of the original external features remain, but the interior has been completely refurbished to a very high standard. The original oak beams are exposed - as well as the new oak needed to repair the ravages of time! The walls follow the original contours and the oak window lintels are still on show. To counterbalance the character of the 400 year old building the furnishings and fittings are modern, sleek and contemporary - solid oak furniture, brushed chrome light fittings, remote colour TV's with text, video & DVD, CD clock radio/alarm, under floor heating in the bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer etc. All rooms have single beds that can be linked to make a 'super king' sized bed.
The colour scheme is clean and contemporary with a dash of colour in the bespoke curtains, headboards and cushions. Heating is controlled individually in each room.

The hotel is centrally heated throughout and the oak beamed bar, with its recessed log burning fire , provides a comfortable and congenial place to relax. There is also a residents' lounge with a view of Snowdon.

A small child may share a parent's room at a reduced charge and a cot is available free on request.

A warm welcome, good food & friendly hospitality are the hallmarks of this small family-run establishment. Open all year except for 3 weeks during November. Although we do not have our own car park there is an unrestricted car parking area adjacent to the hotel plus a public car park within a hundred meters. Sorry, due to the increase in allergies, we no longer take dogs.

Attention all Golfers: Golfers who are residents of Castle Cottage receive a 10% discount at Royal St David’s 18 hole championship golf course and at five other courses in the area, please contact the golf club office on 01766 780 361.
