Crannog Cottage

About

Crannog Cottage, Llangrannog, a former Sea Captain's cottage is situated just 500 yards from the lovely sandy beach and the Ceredigion Coastal path linking with the Pembrokeshire Coastal path beyond. This recently refurbished cottage is situated in a quiet location in this peaceful fishing village on Cardigan Bay yet within an easy walk of its shop, two beachfront cafes (one with fish and chip shop) and two pubs, also facing the beach and both serving delicious food.

Crannog Cottage is an especially good location for beach lovers, walkers and cyclists. Cardi Bach is now an all year round bus service connecting towns and villages between Cardigan and New Quay exploring the spectacular scenery of Cardigan Bay. It is ideal for walkers to take a one-way journey and return along the Ceredigion Coast Path, lots of drop off/pick up points along the way. You can also walk direct from the village south towards the beaches at Tresaith and Aberporth and north to the rocky headland of Ynys Lochtyn. Dolphins can often be spotted from the beach or cliff tops.

Further afield there is small supermarket at few miles away at Brynhoffnant and larger shops in the market towns of Cardigan and Newcastle Emlyn. Nearby New Quay where you can take a boat trip, the Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron and the beaches of Pembrokeshire are all within reach of this idyllic typically Welsh seaside village.
