Details

The Haven is a separate building, so spacious and private accommodation opposite the owner's home Masons Barn. The Haven has its own conservatory, lounge/bedroom and ensuite bathroom and looks out across the fields and garden. There are extensive gardens and ten acres of woodland with a tree lined walk for guests to use. The Haven is situated in a gravelled courtyard opposite Masons Barn, which is accessed off a short track off the main Haverfordwest to Dale Road.vA rural setting but close to Haverfordwest and many tourist areas on the Dale peninsula, including Marloes, Broad Haven, Little Haven and Dale. it is also handy for the boat for the islands of Skomer and Skokholm.

The property is traditional brick built and clad in wood and has modern electric heating and a log burner. The Haven has many environmental features so guests can holiday and be kind to the environment. This includes piping hot water from our log biomass boiler. There is a fridge in The Haven conservatory for use of guests, as well as a toaster and kettle and full provisions for making a variety of drinks. Towels and toiletries provided.

The bed is double size but an additional single bed can be accommodated if you are travelling with a friend or teenager. But only for a minimum stay of three nights. Travel cot and high chair available for young child.

A continental breakfast is served at an agreed time to guests privately in the conservatory, all prepared using mainly Pembrokeshire produce. Guests can select either yoghurt with a fresh berry compote or a cheese and meat platter to go with their croissants and bread for toasting and other elements. This selection is made on arrival. Full cooked Pembrokeshire breakfast also available for a supplement of £5 per person which is ordered and payable with your reservation. Packed lunches and evening meals available by arrangement.

The Haven at Masons Barn has pretty rural views, but is handy for the towns of Haverfordwest and Milford Haven and nearby restaurants especially Little Haven. The Pembrokeshire coast path is easily accessible with a short drive to Dale, Little Haven, Broadhaven and Martin's Haven nearby.

A full range of outdoor activities are available nearby and we can arrange bookings if required. We welcome boats and have safe storage for classic cars by arrangement.

There is an excellent coastal bus service for walkers nearby. If you are biking or walking we are happy to transport you to and from the coast path or Cycle path 4, both are nearby.

We are young child friendly with a travel cot and high chair available. There is a desk and wifi internet so very comfortable and private for the working visitor. A small patio with garden furniture adjacent to The Haven, but full us of the grounds and gardens.     “very enjoyable holiday!!”

    Lovely place to stay with it's own beautiful grounds in a beautiful part of Wales,very good base from which to explore Pembrokeshire,plus Alan and Jane looked after us wonderfully. We would definitely want to stay there again!

    The Haven is located four miles from Haverfordwest on the Dale Road. After a bridge look for a gate with a reflector on the left hand side and take the left hand track. Please drive slowly down the track. Just keep driving until you reach the wooden gates. The Haven is straight ahead of you.

    Directions from Haverfordwest:-
    Following signs for the B4327 out of Haverfordwest signposted Dale pass the entrance to Tesco Superstore on the left. Shortly after bear left towards Dale leaving the Bellevue Pub on your right. Pass through Dreen Hill and go past "The Masons" restaurant on the right - check your mileometer here and travel a further 1.4 miles along the road and you should see an entrance track on the left hand side marked by a red reflector mounted vertically on the end of a gate. (The track entrance is shortly after a dip in the road as you climb up a hill and there is a large tree opposite that overhangs the road - if you reach a staggered junction with a big workshop
