About

The house is ideally situated near to Aberystwyth town and for walking, cycling, pony-trekking in the Rheidol Valley, mountain biking at Bwlch Nant-yr-Arian and exploring Cardigan Bay.

Our luxury bedrooms offer comfort and are sure to please, all fully en-suite with tea/coffee facilities, colour TV and free wi-fi.

Guests are able to enjoy a coffee on the gallery overlooking the valley or in the comfortable lounge with a 50' screen TV and DVD player.

Outside you will find spectacular views and countryside in all directions. As the house is situated down a long driveway from the main road you will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere.

Guests staying in the Suite and Double Superior Rooms can enjoy our traditional full English breakfasts in the grand dining room and includes fresh coffee/tea and a selection of light continental options.

At Plas y Dderwen we go the extra mile to make our guests feel at home and to ensure they go home relaxed.

Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate dogs.

The Ystwyth Suite:
The Ystwyth Suite is a beautifully furnished and sumptuous king sized bedded room. It has its own dressing room (including trouser press) and bathroom. It has tea and coffee making facilities and comfortable seating looking out over a super view of the countryside.

The Blue Room:
The Blue Room offers guests a pleasant well-presented double room with en-suite shower facilities. It has tea and coffee making facilities and a pleasant countryside view.

The Deluxe Family Studio
The private entrance to the Self-Contained Studio has Bi-Fold Opening Doors giving a great view of the Countryside. The Ground Floor Studio is equipped with a Small Kitchen and Walk In En-Suite Shower, King Size Bed and a Double Sofa Bed. Continental Breakfast is provided in the Studio.

Road Directions

Travelling from the West via A487: From Aberystwyth follow the signs for the A4120 Llanbadarn Fawr then the A44 Llangurig. Plas y Dderwen is exactly 1 mile from the railway bridge at Llanbadarn Fawr.

Travelling from the East via A44: when approaching small rounabout where the
turn-off is to A4159 Bow Street take the 1st exit signposted A44 Aberystwyth. Entrance to Plas y Dderwen is suituated half a mile on the right.
