Commonwood Fishery

Our Certificated Location is located within Commonwood Fishery and is new for 2019. Situated in North Wales with easy access to all major roads. Commonwood Fishery is a coarse fishery set in 60 acres. We have 9 lakes for different levels of fishing. Day tickets are available.

Pitches are large grass pitches with electric hook ups. Motorhomes are welcome. All pitches are beside the canal lake. The site is set alongside a canal lake which guests are able to pleasure fish. We also have small pools by the cafe that children are welcome to have a go at fishing. Fishing coaching is also available.

Dogs are welcome but please keep on a lead. You are welcome to walk around the fishery but please be thoughtful of the anglers that are fishing, there will be no access to the lakes after 7pm. There is an abundance of wildlife at the fishery, this is an ideal spot for sport or relaxing, it is peaceful and quiet with lots to do on the doorstep.

Commonwood Fishery is 3 miles from the lovely town of Holt which has various small shops/takeaways, pubs, plus a large farm/garden shop with an award winning butchers inside, also with pick your own strawberries during the summer.

Erddig National Trust is 4.5 miles away, this is one of Britain's finest historic houses.

Chirk Castle is 4.5 miles away, the castle remains the last Edward 1 Welsh Castle still lived in today, it features the award winning gardens with thatched Hawk House shrub garden, lime tree avenue and yew topiary.

Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is 14 miles away.

The lovely Historic Roman City of Chester and Chester Zoo are 12 miles away.

Llangollen is 17 miles away. You can view the scenic Dee Valley by either canal boat or steam train.

The North Wales Coastal towns and Snowdonia National Park are within a 50 minute drive.

Holt Lodge Hotel/Restaurant/Bar is just at the end of the road, a 5 minute walk.

The Pant Y Ochin is also a short drive away, lovely food and seating areas.

Liverpool and Manchester are 50 minutes away.
