One of the few fisheries preserved for fly fishing for trout. Stocks of rainbow trout are added weekly and trout weighing over 10lb have been caught. In 1990 Llyn Brenig was the only welsh reservoir to be selected for use in the World Fly Fishing Championships and has been used as a venue for international competitions ever since. The fishing season is March to end of October permits availble from visior centre.
