About

Experience for yourself the pleasure of a horse drawn boat trip on the beautiful Llangollen canal. Watch the fish swim lazily by in the clear water fresh from the River Dee as your boat glides silently, pulled by one of our powerful horses.

Horse Drawn Trip (45 minutes) - A return trip from Llangollen Wharf, running every 30 minutes during the school holidays and roughly every hour at other times. This trip is just long enough to allow you to relax and unwind - perfect as a gentle start or soothing end to your day, or as a moment of peace in the middle of a hectic one! 2 hour trips also available for parties of 30 or more.

Motorised Aqueaduct Cruises (2 hours) - As an alternative you can let diesel power take the strain on our 2 hour boat trips on the motor narrowboat 'Thomas Telford'. It carries you through the beautiful Vale of Llangollen and across the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, the country's tallest navigable aqueduct, towering 126 feet above the River Dee.

We also have a self steer day hire boat for groups of up to 10 people.

Wharf Tea Room serving homemade cakes and scones.

Wharf Tea Room

The Tea Room and Gift shop in the old canal warehouse serves food prepared and cooked on the premises.
Breakfast, light lunches and Welsh cream teas are served throughout the day. Tea includes scones, jam and clotted cream and bara brith.
