Criccieth Castle

Criccieth Castle

Join us at Criccieth Castle for a day of medieval falconry!

The falconers will have a variety of historically accurate birds of prey on display, and they welcome the public to visit them for questions and general falconry chatter. Feel free to ask the falconers, should you wish to take a photograph of yourself alongside one of them and their fabulous birds! They will regale young and old alike with tales of falconry exploits from the medieval era, and will take you on a journey back in time to learn all about medieval kings and queens and the birds they loved and flew.

In addition, there will be two flying displays at 12.30pm and 2.30pm, where you will be able to see some of the birds take flight and watch their magnificent style, whilst the falconers enthral you with an exhilarating commentary delving into the world of birds of prey.
