Soultown USA at Pavilion Theatre Rhyl
Music - Pop, Sat 8 Feb 2020, £22.50
Details
Performing their No 1 hits The Great Pretender, Only You and Smoke Gets In Your Eyes, true musical trailblazers bring you the authoritative story of Soul and Motown in this brand new for 2020 stage show spectacular.
This musical masterpiece takes us back to 60’s Detroit and beyond – when Ike and Tina Turner were rolling down the river, The Spinners were still working their way back and the world held on for Sam and Dave.
There’ll be no hurrying The Supremes and those Motown memories as the tracks of Smokey Robinson’s tears are well and truly retraced. Audiences are guaranteed not to be too proud to beg one more from The Temptations before getting their 70’s boogie shoes on to hits from Rose Royce, Tavares and The Trammps.
During the late 50’s, The Platters were the original African American chart toppers. Hits My Prayer, Twilight Time, I’m Sorry, Harbour Lights, You’ll Never Never Know, It Isn’t Right and Remember When are also million-sellers in their own right.
Who better to revive soul music’s golden years one last time in the must-see show of the year!
