Tina May Quartet: Celebrating Ella and Oscar

Details

Vocalist Tina May and pianist Nikki Iles, both international-class musicians, revisit the classic meeting between Ella Fitzgerald, the greatest singer of all, and piano giant Oscar Peterson.

Presenting their renditions of hand-picked songs from Ella’s varied repertoire including classics such as How High The Moon and Every Time We Say Goodbye, Tina May, whose astonishing vocal ability and hypnotic stage presence have won her worldwide acclaim, and Nikki Iles, described in the Guardian as “one of the most refreshing and promising figures to have emerged in the UK” are joined by Dave Green (double bass) and Steve Brown (drums).
