About

Llandudno is the largest seaside resort in Wales and still retains much of its Victorian character and charm. It stands on a peninsula jutting out into the Irish Sea, between the headlands of the Great Orme and Little Orme.

Take a ride to the summit of the 679 ft Great Orme on either the Great Orme Tramway, the only cable-hauled tramway still operating on British public roads, which has been making its way to the summit since 1902 or take a ride on the longest cable car in Britain. Once at the top you'll find a Visitor Centre, Summit Complex with bar and restaurant and impressive views. Visit the Great Orme Copper Mines, the oldest metal mine open to the public in the world.

Llandudno is the resort where the real Alice in Wonderland (Alice Liddell) spent her childhood summers and in the Alice in Wonderland Centre you can venture down the rabbit hole and re-live her adventures.

Venue Cymru offers a diverse programme of live shows throughout the year.

Llandudno offers good shopping with a mix of independent retailers and national chain stores. The newest addition to Llandudno's shopping district is Parc Llandudno which contains many designer clothing stores.

The town has two beaches, the North Shore which is great for sand castles, paddling and a stroll to the Pier and the West Shore which has stunning views of Anglesey and Snowdonia and is one of the world's best kitesurfing spots.
