Swapping Corrie's cobbles for Venue Cymru, Ryan Thomas stars as Captain Hook in this year's high-flying pantomime adventure, Peter Pan! Salford-born Ryan burst onto television screens on Christmas Day in 2000 in the role of Jason Grimshaw in the iconic ITV soap Coronation Street, a role he played for over 16 years. Best known for romantic entanglements, Ryan left Weatherfield last year in an emotional departure following the death of his on-screen father. Peter Pan marks Ryan’s second pantomime appearance, This year Ryan will be swap searching for the girl who fits the glass slipper for a more malevolent search of Neverland to hunt down the boy who refuses to grow up, the high-flying hero Peter Pan, and his band of Lost Boys.

Joining him as Mrs Smee, the matriarch of the Jolly Roger will be Llandudno dame-in-residence and North Wales resident Andy Jones making his 36th pantomime appearance having delighted Venue Cymru audiences in last year’s pantomime, Aladdin. This year will see Andy don even more outrageous frocks and take to the high seas with plenty of laughs, local references and hilarious comedy routines.

Pauline Daniels will join the cast of this year’s family pantomime. The Birkenhead-born actress is no stranger to the stage having appeared regularly in theatres across the UK for over thirty years. In that time she has held leading roles in A Saint She Ain’t at London’s Apollo Theatre, Willy Russell’s acclaimed one-woman play Shirley Valentine, Our Day Out and Dirty Dusting at the Royal Court and television work including ITV’s Blue Murder, The Street and Brookside.
