Join one of Thousand Islands boat trips to see the Islands of Ramsey, Skomer or Grassholm on the Pembrokeshire Coast. Witness some of the most powerful currents in Britain and pass beneath some of the highest sea cliffs in Wales. Take the Ferry Boat to Ramsey Island and retreat into your own world of island magic surrounded by seals, seabirds and the myriad of flora and fauna that make up the beautiful Pembrokeshire Islands.

The Thousand Islands Adventure is one of  the most popular trips. Departing from St Justinians Lifeboat Station in St David's you will cross over the swirling currents of Ramsey Sound. Your voyage takes you beneath the magestic cliffs adorned with nesting seabirds and colonies of seals. There's also a chance to see the resident porpoise.

On Whale and Dolphin trips you'll venture offshore towards the Celtic Deep in search of whale and dolphin. You will also circle Grassholm Island, home to the third largest gannet colony in the northern hemisphere and there are frequently seen sightings of porpoise, common dolphin and rissos dolphin. occasionally minke, pilot, sei, fin whale and orca.

In the evenings take a boat around Ramsey Island to see the seabirds, seals and dramatic scenery. As light dims, watch the hundreds of Manx shearwaters return to the islands from offshore.

LANDING ON RAMSEY ISLAND
If you are landing on Ramsey Island it is advisable to bring warm, waterproof clothing. There is no cover once out on the island trail and the boat crossing can be wet. Sunscreen and a hat are also advisable in hot weather.

The steps are steep at St Justinians and on Ramsey Island. The terrain on the island trail is also rough so a reasonable level of fitness is required and sturdy footwear or walking books is recommended.
