‘Holiday Memory’ - Drop-in Family Workshops. Great for families with younger children but all ages are welcome. Drop-in, free.

24 July - Inspired by Dylan Thomas’ ‘Holiday Memory’, we’ll make puppets and theatres based on traditional seaside themes. There’ll be seaside face painting and activities such as games, puppets, reading corner and dressing-up.

31 July - We’ll be making funny seaside photo frame postcards. Bring along copies of passport sized photos to add to your frame, or make a frame to add to at home. There will also be holiday themed face painting, books, games, dressing-up and puppets.

4 August - Make a journal with secret pockets, fold out pages and hidden envelopes to store all your holiday memories. Recommended age range 8+.

7 August - Today we’ll make a seaside themed storybook. There will also be holiday themed face painting, books, games, dressing-up and puppets.

11 August - Make your own comics: we’ll design characters, make story boards and produce a mini comic for you to take away with you. Recommended age range 8+.

14 August - Today we’ll make letters and postcards. There will also be holiday themed face painting, books, games, dressing-up and puppets.

18 August - Join us to create ‘Holiday Memory’ themed stationery. The workshop is great for families with older children, but all ages are welcome.

21 August - Today we’ll be filling miniature suitcases with stories to make your very own story suitcase game to take home. Other ‘Holiday Memory’ activities include face painting, games, dressing-up, reading corner, and puppets.

25 August - Create a ‘Holiday Memory’ print in today’s session. This workshop is part creative writing, part art and photography, and part science experiment! There will be lots of interesting techniques to experiment with, including collagraph, cyanotype (depending on the weather) and jelly printing! Recommended age range 8+.

28 August - Drop in and make a ‘tantivying’ merry-go-round spinning toy! With face painting and themed activities including games, reading corner, dressing-up and puppets.

1 September - Make your own comics: we’ll design characters, make story boards and produce a mini comic for you to take away. Recommended age range 8+.
