Parkwood Outdoors Dolygaer is an activity centre based in the south of the Brecon Beacons, just a 15 minute drive from Merthyr Tydfil.

The centre offers a fantastic range of activities such as sailing, hiking and gorge adventures with options available for all ages and abilities.

The scenic surroundings really need to be seen first hand to be believed with stunning views over the lake, river and rolling hills which can be viewed from the site. We also have multiple accommodation options to suit every style including the campsite, Dolygaer Lodge and Dolygaer Cottage, which offers guests a luxurious way to unwind after a day's activities. Fully qualified and welcoming staff will make your visit here enjoyable, safe and memorable.

The local area to Dolygaer has some truly wonderful mountain walks. Our knowledgeable guides will bring you to some of the most picturesque parts of South Wales teaching you map reading and compass skills. We have many different types of walks that are suitable for most abilities including some local favourites such as the Taff Trail.

Located in the south of the Brecon Beacons, Parkwood Outdoors Dolygaer is a 15 minute drive north of Merthyr Tydfil and 30 minutes from Brecon.

The centre is approximately a 45 minute drive from the M4 at Cardiff and an hour from the M50.

By Rail: The nearest rail station is at Merthyr Tydfil which would require additional transport to get to Dolygaer.

The nearest railway station is Merthy Tydfil, which is 7 miles away.
