Details
The restaurant at Castle Cottage is recommended in the major food guides. We have steadily built up a reputation for good food, both locally and with visitors to the area. We source and use as much local / Welsh produce as possible and strive to create a dining experience that combines top quality local food and service with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
The dining room seats up to 40 and we use crisp white and cream linen, Alchemy china, Italian designed cutlery, Welsh made oak tables and contemporary leather chairs. The pale cream walls are decorated with modern, original Welsh art.
We change our menu on a regular basis & with the seasons, we also offer daily specials when available. We purchase locally caught lobster, crab, sea bass, black bream, Scottish hand dived scallops, lamb and beef from our local butcher, smoked salmon from Rhydlewis, Llyn Peninsular dry-cured bacon, Hereford free-range chicken, suckling pig from Pugh’s Piglets, Brecon venison......
We can cater for special dietary requirements, please let us know in advance for any special requests. Children's portions are available for certain dishes and we can feed residents children in the lounge @ 5.30 / 6pm so parents can enjoy a meal on their own if they wish. Our three course dinner is served between 7 and 9pm. True Taste eating out award in 2008/9
Aperitifs are served in the bar / lounge from our well stocked bar and we are confident that we can provide you with an excellent bottle of wine to compliment your meal. We have an extensive wine list - over 90 wines and champagnes (supplied by Terry Platt’s and Tanners) at modest prices. South Africa has a strong presence on our list and we probably have the best selection of New World Sauvignon Blanc in north Wales as well as some superb half bottles, magnums and pudding wines.
