Come to Cardiff Castle this Christmas and enjoy a candlelit evening of festive family fun, all in the beautiful setting of our traditionally decorated Victorian apartments. Be greeted by costumed characters, eager to share ­the Yuletide traditions of yesteryear, and have your photo taken by the tree in the Entrance Hall. Follow the Candy Cane Trail through the Castle to the Drawing Room, where a wonderful visit with Santa Claus awaits. Gifts will be given and warming winter treats served in the Library before you head for home.

The Interpretation Centre is fully accessible to wheelchair users and parents with pushchairs, including the Firing Line exhibition, film presentation, café and shop. Disabled toilets are located adjacent to the café on the ground floor. The Castle Apartments are not accessible to wheelchair users or pushchairs due to the number of steps within the house. Audio Guides are available in 10 languages and include a sign-language and visually-impaired tours (in English and Welsh).
