Feeling brave? Tackle the 68 steps to the top of Tredegar House and take a look at the conservation work happening on our roof. Mondays to Fridays.

For the first time ever visitors can get unprecedented access to the restoration work taking place at Tredegar House on a Scaffold Climb.

Terms and conditions apply; height and clothing restrictions in place. Children under 16 years must be over 1.5m and accompanied by an adult. Suitable footwear is a must; no ballet pumps, flip flops or heels. If you wish to bring a camera or camera phone please ensure this is attached to your person throughout the Climb.

Access to Scaffold Climbs is subject to weather and volunteer staffing - please check the website for updates.

Scaffold Climbs cannot be pre-booked due to the nature of the tour. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis at the Visitor Reception. Spaces are limited each day, with 12 spots per Climb.

Car: Tredegar House is just two miles west of Newport city centre. Follow signs from the A48 or M4 exit 28
