Tredegar House

Tredegar House

This year, as we celebrate Tredegar House: A Herstory, enjoy demonstrations from Consort de Danse Baroque Summer School students, and learn how dancing played a role in the social lives of women.

When Charles II returned from exile to reclaim his throne he brought with him a new style of dancing from the French courts. These were the dances that Blanche Morgan would have enjoyed as the first lady of the red brick mansion.

This August Bank Holiday Monday, students from Consort de Danse Baroque’s Summer School will be performing short demonstrations throughout the day in the New Hall.
