Music Festival, Sat 28 Oct 2017, £12

Theatr Brycheiniog

Theatr Brycheiniog

Details

The Tea Dance welcomes beginners and enthusiasts to enjoy an afternoon of Baroque dance accompanied by the Tea Dance Trio and a sumptuous afternoon tea. Local people will have practised these dances during the year, but visitors to the Festival are most welcome to attend, and will have the opportunity to learn some of the steps during the dance workshop earlier in the day.

The majority of the dances are uncomplicated and all are enjoyable. They are selected in keeping with the festival theme, and many of them, although classed as country dances, were enjoyed at royal balls. The country dances were informal and intended for pleasure rather than stylised performance.

Refreshments are served during the interval and give those attending the chance to socialise and make new friends. Come in period costume or smart casual clothes.
