Tracing the life of this heroic Zulu leader, King Cetshwayo: The Musical is a UK Premiere that combines theatre, film and traditional Zulu and Shembe dance movements. This vibrant and colourful production is performed by over 20 artists as well as live musicians, from South Africa.

The story tells of the Zulu’s defiance against the English and Welsh Regiments during the Anglo Zulu Wars, and the victories that re-inspired the pride of a nation; defeating guns with spears in a David and Goliath real life story. Told through multimedia, song, dance, dialogue and storytelling, the performances features performances from the Zulu Royal Family and descendants of King Cetshwayo.

GALA PERFORMANCE AND LAUNCH OF SIBANYE
With an opening by the High Commissioner of South Africa and a chance to meet the Royal Princes after the show.

Events, talks and exhibitions will be happening across Brecon around this iconic Zulu visit.

From Hereford A483. Do not take the first signpost for Brecon on the right, instead go to roundabout and follow the sign for Brecon, carry on straight past the Army Barracks until you reach a mini roundabout and take the next turning left (Rich Way). Follow on to next mini roundabout and turn left, Theatr Brycheiniog is next to the canal basin.

From Abergavenny (A40) After the dual carriageway you will come to a main roundabout, take the road into Brecon and follow the directions as above. From Merthyr / Sennybridge Take the road into Brecon over the Usk bridge carry on straight through the town, past the statue, over a zebra crossing and approx 150 yards turn right into Rich Way. Theatr Brycheiniog is on the left by the canal.
