Lunches - Evening Meals - Sunday Roast - Coffee
Sunday Luch - For many, the highlight of the week! And it is easy to understand why:
At £5.80 for one course £6.90 for two course or just £8,00 for the full treat of a three course dinner it is a bargain not to be missed. The choice is three different choice roasts, Yorkshire Puddings, seasonal vegetables, gravy made from the juices of proper meat, and started with home-made soup, and finished off with the finest desserts home-cooking has on offer, The Ashgrove Inn is absolutely the place to be on a Sunday afternoon!
Evening Meals
Starters :
Duck/orange and pork Liverpate £2.80
Prawn Cocktail £3.50
Home Made Soup of the day £2.20
These are our "regular" starters. The BLACKBOARD is the place to look for other freshly made starters, it changes all the time!
The MAIN COURSES, such as our famous Mixed Grill (£12,-) Rump or Sirloin Steak (£8.00) and the delicious Marinated Chicken (£6,-) are well established on our menu, and the in-house made Chicken Korma and Chicken Jalfresi are all good reasons for people to come back for more.BANGERS & MASH is a pub-classic, and our sausages are exeptional, served with PROPER mushy peas and a delicious onion gravy, a real winter-warmer. At the moment we serve a wonderful Tempura Vegetable Mix with chips (£6.50) and an omelette made from the eggs of our own free range chickens, filled with what you fancy, or what we have at the moment from £5.50 to 7.50, served with fresh bread rolls!
The blackboards have seasonal and spur-of-the-moment dishes of all sorts on them, and should be closely inspected before that crucial decicion is taken: What do I eat?
Our SWEETS are something really special, and priced to tempt you to try them. How about a Bread and Butter Pudding filled with banana and lightly sprinkled with chocolate and brown sugar, served with a topping of fresh whipped cream, a scoop of ice cream or a freshly made custard?
All our food is home-cooked, and you know whats on your plate, REAL FOOD!
