Observation beehive show-and-tell

Details

Ever wondered what goes on within a Bee Hive or wanted to know more about the Honey Bee? This is a great opportunity to learn more about the Chirk Castle bees and meet their keeper John.

John and his bees took up residence on the Chirk Castle estate in May. John is an experienced beekeeper who lives locally and will be keeping several hives on the estate as well as offering some bee themed experiences for visitors.

John will be setting up a glass sided observation hive at Home Farm, so you can come and see the bees, talk to John and learn more about beekeeping. Drop in any time from 11am to 4pm. The hive will be at the Ranger Hub, just past the ticket office.
