Chirk Castle

Chirk Castle

When you're out walking, have you ever wondered, "which tree is that?" On this one-day course we'll show you how to identify a host of tree species by looking at leaves, buds, bark, the shape of the tree and other clues.

Join James, who will be your tutor for the day. He has worked for many years in and around trees from managing the largest community woodland in Wales to introducing children to the wonder of woods with his Forest School work.

The course is suitable for anyone aged 16 or over. Please bring a packed lunch on the day but hot drinks and biscuits will be provided.

Booking essential: Call 07876 794098 or go to the Woodland Classroom website -
